Elder Nakia M. Smith is the Sr. Pastor and Founder of Restoration Outreach Ministries of Longview, TX. He previously served as an itinerant preacher for the last 16 years in the East Texas Region of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church before launching out and establishing R.O.M. He has worn many hats throughout the life of his ministry, most notably serving as the East Texas Region Director of the Board of Evangelism for 10 years, which exemplifies his passion for outreach…which can be seen in the naming of the now present ministry. Other than the on the job training he received in his years of pastoralship, Elder Smith also has his Associate Degree in Business from Ashford University of Clinton, Iowa with aspirations of obtaining his Bachelors in the same within the near future and is a co-founder of Hedge Financial Group located in Tyler, TX and the Substance Abuse/HIV Regional Coordinator Assistant for Special Health Resources in Longview, TX.

Elder Smith has been married to his lovely wife Regina Smith for 19 years and their lives are founded on two things, which are faith and family. Their faith of course lies with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who has brought them through many adverse situations and circumstances. Excluding Jesus, their joy is found within their children, Deyanta (22), Jordan (20), and Caleb (14). Not to be overlooked, in June of 2013, that joy expanded even the more when they took on the responsibility of raising three of their nephews, due to extenuating circumstances in their family; Trevor (21), Jasyiah (19), and Drake (18). It goes without saying; this dynamic duo has not missed a beat and continuously exemplifies what family is and ought to be.

In the words of Elder Smith, if he had to summarize what ministry means to him…he could be quoted using these words: “Ministry is a gift from God that I value to the utmost. It is nothing that can be obtained by reading a book, but it is something that must be experienced. The pure fact of the matter is ministry is my life and my life belongs to God, so therefore, so does my ministry.”

Regina Smith
First Lady Regina Smith is the visionary of Healthy & Wealthy Ministry within her church Restoration Outreach Ministries, of which her husband Elder Nakia Smith is the Sr. Pastor. This ministry was created to encourage and motivate the Body of Christ to honor their God-given temple through exercise, healthier eating, and proper rest. Realizing that God created her body, Jesus died for it, and that the Holy Spirit lives in it …this was the motivation she needed to honor her temple, thus birthing of Healthy & Wealthy Ministry, with a scriptural foundation derived from 3 John 1:2 and 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

Motivated to achieve her goal to attain good health, she learned from her own personal experiences the power of honoring her temple and its benefits. Striving to empower others with the knowledge she has obtained…she excitedly shares with everyone that we do not have to live in bondage to sickness or disease.

Regina became a Certified Walk 15® Instructor in 2018 and has been teaching Walk15® classes encouraging others to make a difference one step at a time. Walk15® classes take a “walking base” with low impact aerobic style moves taught in group setting that all fitness levels, ages, and walks of life, can do!

Coupled with Walk 15®, First Lady Smith envisions even more for Healthy & Wealthy Ministry, therefore she is currently in pursuit of her Wellness Health Coach certification, as well as, her Nutrition certification.
